Australasian Digital Thesis (ADT) data map to MARC

Sharing here a crosswalk between Australasian Digital Thesis data and MARC. This has been done many times before, including by moi, but am making my latest available stab at it for benefit of others who are still in early days of (Australian) repository implementation.

  1. Hi Neil

RMIT is currently implementing a repository. However I am interested in the possibility of extracting the ADT data as the basis of a catalogue record in our Voyager ILMS. (Currently a record is created separately on ADT & Voyager.) Do you know whether anyone has done this, or how feasible it might be?

    Regards

    Guy

  2. Hi Guy,

I’m not IT, but I would assume it is feasible given that the reverse has been done with the VITAL repository — http://www.rubric.edu.au/techreports/voyager_to_vital.book.htm

Am asking around to see if I can find out “how feasible”.
